Monica Charles began her Drug Court career as a Clerk Typist in February 2004. September 2006 she took on the role as Case Manager for the Adult program. Monica earned an Associates degree through Louisiana Technical College-Teche Area Campus. Her main responsibilities as Case Manager is to screen prospective clients for acceptance to the program, prepare weekly docket for court, maintain monthly and year end reporting. Monica is the mother of one daughter and a resident of St. Martinville.

Shawn Mouton has been a member of the Iberia Parish Adult Drug Court staff since September 2000. He became Board Certified as a Substance Abuse Counselor in January, 2000. Shawn is a native and resident of New Iberia, LA. He graduated from New Iberia Senior High in 1989 and served in the United States Air Force National Guard from 1990 to 1997. He is a married father of three and is presently a senior at the University of Louisiana campus at Lafayette, LA. His major area of study is Psychology. Shawn brings a diverse background to the team with his time in the military as well as work in Case Management, Retail and the Educational system. Shawn's strong ties to the community give him a good grasp on the clients in the program as well as solid perspective in the problems they face.
