Phase 3

In Phase III, the work that has begun in the previous phases is continued. A thorough understanding of addiction  personal to each client as well as relapse warning signals is a primary goal. Significant progress in the areas of defense mechanisms, 12 Step recovery and a firm foundation in self-help support groups is evident. By this time clients should have achieved some emotional stability with identified issues and have active coping strategies for future use. Achieving a GED or trade school certificate, stable employment history, maintenance of sobriety, a relapse prevention plan and a foundation in 12 Step, self help support systems set the stage for Drug Court Graduation!

Then Phase IV begins….
